Apparel Training and Design Centre

ATDC (Apparel Training and Design Centre) is India’s largest vocational training provider dedicated to the apparel sector. Established in 1991 under the aegis of AEPC (Apparel Export Promotion Council), it operates over 80 centers across India, including a key hub in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, to equip youth with industry-ready skills.

Programs & Courses

ATDC offers a wide range of industry-aligned courses tailored for both beginners and experienced professionals:

• Degrees (3-Year): B.Voc in Fashion Design & Retail (FDR) and Apparel Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship (AME).
• Diplomas (1-Year): Apparel Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and Fashion Design Technology (FDT).
• Certificate Programs (4-8 months): Specialized courses like Industrial Engineering, Merchandising, CAD/CAM Advance Pattern Making, and Sewing.

Facilities & Placements

• Infrastructure: Centers are equipped with industry-simulated labs, CAD labs, smart classrooms, and modern sewing machinery.
• Placement Cell: ATDC has a strong National Placement Cell that connects students directly with garment exporters, manufacturers, and retail brands, boasting a strong historical placement record.
• Social Impact
• Beyond standard academic courses, ATDC acts as a nodal agency for various government skill missions. They partner with State Skill Missions and major PSUs under CSR initiatives to train underprivileged youth and artisans.

NOTE : Currently, in West Bengal, they have a free course in Garment Designing for 4 months and after completion of the course there is placement. It's a first-come-first-seat basis. The Centers are in Kolkata, Budge Budge and in Jalpaiguri district.
