Exclusive Skill Development Initiative for Children of Ex-Servicemen (ESM)

Introduction

The Rajya Sainik Board (RSB), West Bengal, is pleased to announce the 20 Days Web Development Training Program exclusively for ESM (below 40 years) & children of Ex Servicemen. This training program is designed for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of web development. The course covers the basics of HTML, CSS, and PHP, enabling participants to create simple, responsive web pages and connect forms to a database.

Duration: 20 Days 
Level: Beginner 
Prerequisites: Basic Computer Knowledge only.

Objectives of the Program

The primary objectives of the training program are:

• To introduce students to modern software development technologies.
• To develop practical programming and problem-solving skills.
• To provide industry-oriented exposure to web application development.
• To encourage digital innovation and technical creativity among ESM children.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• Candidate must be an Ex-Serviceman (ESM) and below 40 years of age or a child of an Ex-Serviceman (ESM).
• Must have successfully passed Class XII (Higher Secondary or equivalent).
• Should possess basic computer knowledge, including:
  • Internet and web browsing
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Social media platforms
  • Basic digital tools and online communication

Course Schedule

Admissions will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis subject to eligibility verification.

Course Fee

• Registration Fee: ₹2,000 per participant

The registration fee covers training materials, mentoring support, practical sessions, and assessment activities conducted during the program.

Attendance Requirement & Honorarium

Participants are expected to maintain a high level of discipline and commitment throughout the training.

Attendance Requirement

• Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory.

Honorarium

• Participants who successfully complete the course and meet the attendance requirement will receive an Honorarium of ₹1,000 from RSB.

• Creating a Complete Registration Form
• Storing Data in Database
• Displaying Submitted Data in HTML

Training Outcome:

By the end of the program, participants will be able to create basic websites using HTML and CSS, develop simple PHP forms, connect applications to a MySQL database, and perform basic data insertion and retrieval operations.

Laptop / Computer Facility

Participants may:

• Bring their own laptop for training, or
• Use desktop systems provided by RSB throughout the course.

No participant will be disadvantaged due to the absence of a personal laptop.

RSB Skill Certificate

The certificate will recognize the participant's successful completion of the Software Development Training Program and acquired technical competencies.

• Regular attendance is mandatory.
• Active participation in practical sessions and assignments is expected.
• The decision of RSB and the training faculty regarding the training program and certification shall be final.
